We are pleased to award the following scholarship in 2026 to Maria Wotherspoon.
Maria is a soprano who graduated from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland with a Bachelor’s of Music in Vocal Performance, and is currently studying for a Master’s of Music in Vocal Performance at the Royal Danish Academy of Music.
Maria will attend performances at Bayreuth in 2026 of Der Fliegende Holländer, Rienzi, and Parsifal, as well as the Scholarship holders’ concert. In addition the Richard Wagner Scholarship Foundation will arrange lectures, a tour of the Festival Theatre, visits to the Wagner and Liszt museums and other sightseeing and social events.
